Infant Baptism

When we’re born, we all have something called original sin. It was the one first committed by Adam and Eve.

When we receive the Sacrament of Baptism, we are washed of that sin and of all those committed before receiving it.

We’re made sons and daughters of God and we officially become a part of the Church.

First Reconciliation & First Eucharist

Every day, Jesus turns bread and wine into His Body and Blood during the Holy Mass. This happens at the moment called the Consecration. This way we can eat and receive Him in our soul.

Jesus instituted the Sacrament of Eucharist during the Last Supper with the twelve apostles. This sacrament has a bonus: it forgives venial sins and fortifies us against committing mortal ones in the future. It’s Jesus Himself who is within us.

Youth Confirmation

"Our Youth Confirmation Program, assisted by the Holy Spirit, works towards, as the Catechism states, “leading the Christian toward a more intimate union with Christ and a more lively familiarity with the Holy Spirit - his actions, his gifts, and his biddings - in order to be more capable of assuming the apostolic responsibilities of Christian life. (C.C.C 1309) Our goal is to help form each candidate towards a better understanding of the Catholic faith while also preparing them to better recognize the Holy Spirit working in their life before and after the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a great gift from God! God forgives every action and sin of ours that has offended Him when we go to Confession and ask for His mercy and forgiveness.

We must be truly sorry for the bad we’ve done and the good we’ve left undone. Going to confession gives us a tremendous peace and increases our strength to be good Christians, good sons and daughters of God.

Matrimony

The Sacrament of Matrimony in the Catholic Church is a sacred ceremony where two people (a man and a woman) who love each other make a commitment to spend the rest of their lives together in a partnership of love and faithfulness. They are united in a special way by God and receive the Church's blessing on their relationship. Through this sacrament, the couple is empowered to love and support each other and to raise any children they have in the Catholic faith.

Anointing of the Sick

God loves the sick. When someone is very sick or very old and could die soon, they need God’s help for that moment. Anointing by a priest helps bring strength, peace and encouragement. Part of this sacrament is forgiving all the sins of the sick person and preparing him or her for their time of death.

The sick, with their pain and suffering, help Jesus to carry the Cross, and at the same time, He helps them during the last moments of their lives.
