Grace Ministry offers social and educational opportunities for individuals with special needs, their families and friends in a safe and welcoming environment. We strive to reach out to parish families, families from the surrounding community, and area organizations to offer networking opportunities and act as a resource for children and adult individuals with disabilities, their parents, and their caregivers. We encourage families to become active in our parish programs where they can be welcomed and accepted into the full life of the church. Individuals of all ages and disabilities, physical, mental and emotional, are welcome.
A monthly 'Saturday Social" event is scheduled one Saturday evening each month. Families are invited to gather in Sexton Hall at 6:30 p.m. for a potluck dinner and themed activities such as ping pong, basketball, a dance, crafts, card games and board games. Certain events are held off-campus. Parents are invited to network and attend scheduled presentations to assist and support them. A Saturday 5:15 p.m. Mass is offered each week in the church prior to the Saturday Social for any families to attend.

Sacramental Preparation:
By welcoming developmentally disabled people into full and active participation in the Church the parish builds up the Body of Christ. If you have a family member with special needs who has not prepared and received sacraments, please contact the St. Ignatius Loyola Formation Office for information.
Advocates:
If you need assistance speaking to the appropriate person to receive resources, sacraments, etc. please email us at: grace@silcc.org.
Parent Support:
During the Saturday Socials parents are invited to network and share with other parents and volunteers to gain practical, emotional and spiritual support. Specific topics are scheduled with qualified presenters as well as informal discussions in small groups.
Volunteers Needed:
Volunteers are needed each month to socialize with individuals with special needs and help them feel welcome in the St. Ignatius community. If you have a heart for this ministry and are willing to assist at events - serving food, leading games, organizing a craft, etc. - please contact us at grace@silcc.org
