Easter Help for the Homeless at Loaves & Fishes

Every year, St. Ignatius parishioners provide an Easter gift bags for the homeless community in the Houston area through Magnificat Houses Inc. at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen on Congress near Minute Maid Park. During Lent, look for the opportunity to collaborate by donating food items, snacks, toiletries, socks, etc., and join us in this amazing project!

This year we are preparing to donate 500 Care Packages with individual size toiletries (toothbrush/toothpaste, soap, wipes, deodorant, shampoo, lotion, etc.) and snacks (healthy and individually wrapped).

We are also collecting large cans of vegetables and fruits to bring to the HOPE Houston Center for their kitchen!

***Drop off donations in the box by the Narthex or bring them to the Parish Office any day during business hours.

You may also shop through our online Amazon Wishlist, and items will be delivered directly to our office.

Refugee Thanksgiving

In collaboration with Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Program, St. Ignatius Outreach Commission coordinates a Thanksgiving event for families who have come from other countries under dire conditions to resettle here in Houston. A wonderful meal is prepared by parishioners, as well as games, music, and the opportunity to share each other's culture and faith!
