Confirmation for Youth

Youth Confirmation Information

At St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, we believe that youth confirmation is a vital step in your teen's spiritual journey. Our program is designed to help young individuals deepen their faith, understand the teachings of the Church, and embrace their role in the community. We provide a supportive environment where they can ask questions, engage in discussions, and grow in their relationship with God.

  • What is Youth Confirmation?

Youth confirmation is a Sacrament that strengthens the grace received at baptism. It empowers young people to live out their faith actively and take on greater responsibilities within the Church.

  • Who is eligible for Confirmation?

Typically, High School youth aged 16 and older who have been Baptized and received their First Communion are eligible to participate in the confirmation program. We encourage parents to discuss this important milestone with their teens.

  • What documents are required?

To register for the confirmation program, families need to provide a copy of the child's baptism certificate and any relevant sacramental records. This ensures that we have a complete understanding of your teen's spiritual background.

  • How can I prepare my teen for Confirmation?

Attend Mass regularly, encourage your teen to participate in church activities, engage in discussions about faith, and attend Fatih Formation classes regularly. Our dedicated team is here to support both you and your teen throughout this journey.

  • When does the Confirmation program start?

The confirmation program typically begins in the fall. We recommend checking our website or contacting the church office for specific dates and registration details. Confirmation Interviews begin in May and continue throughout the summer.

  • When are Confirmation Sessions?

All Wednesday night classes will start at 7:30 PM following Mass that starts at 6:45 PM

Attending the 6:45 PM Mass is strongly encouraged in the development of the Confirmation Experience.

  • What are the Confirmation Guidelines?
